Treasured Trappings (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a wardrobe management and community Market Square app built for the Renaissance festival community. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
We keep things plain here. This is a community app, not a bank. We collect what we need to make the app work and nothing more.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided via Google or Apple sign-in). This information comes from the OAuth provider you choose and is stored in our database.
Garment and wardrobe data
When you add items to your wardrobe, we store the details you provide: style name, fabric, size, color family, condition, collection, acquisition type, purchase date, price paid, retail price, notes, and category. This data is associated with your account and is private to you unless you choose to list items for sale or trade.
Photos
If you upload photos of your garments, those images are stored in secure cloud storage and served via our CDN at media.treasuredtrappings.app. Photos you upload are private to your account unless attached to a public BST listing.
Loan records
If you use the loan tracking feature, we store the borrower’s name and any loan details you enter. This information is private to your account.
BST listings and messages
If you create a buy/sell/trade listing (Premium tier), that listing and any associated photos are visible to other users of the app. In-app messages between buyers and sellers are stored and associated with both users’ accounts.
ISO (In Search Of) requests
Premium members can create ISO requests describing a garment they are looking for. When a BST listing is posted that matches your ISO request, we will send a notification email to the address associated with your account. By creating an ISO request, you consent to receiving these transactional notifications. You can cancel an ISO request at any time from your account to stop receiving related notifications.
Usage data
We may collect basic usage information such as app errors and crash reports to help us diagnose problems and improve the app. This data does not include the content of your wardrobe or messages.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the app and its features
- To associate your garments, photos, and listings with your account
- To send transactional notifications to your registered email address, including loan due-date reminders and ISO match alerts when a matching listing is posted
- To diagnose errors and improve app performance
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your garment data, photos, or messages for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate the app. These providers may process personal data on our behalf — for example, to host our infrastructure, store files, deliver emails, or handle authentication. Each provider is bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
When you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers share your name and email address with us in accordance with their own privacy policies.
When we send you a transactional email, your email address is passed to our email delivery provider for that purpose only.
4. Authentication
We support sign-in with Google and sign-in with Apple. When you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers share your name and email address with us. We do not receive your password from either provider. Authentication tokens are stored in secure, httpOnly cookies and are not accessible to client-side scripts.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information and wardrobe data from our systems within a reasonable time. Photos stored in cloud storage will also be deleted.
BST listing records and transaction history may be retained in anonymized form for operational integrity purposes.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data

7. Children
Treasured Trappings is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
